This one does not disappoint in any regard. The blade is as seriously heavy as you can get in a folder and there is absolutely no moving it once it locks into position. The handle fits the hand nicely, and its scales keep it from slipping even when your hands are covered in mango juice and pumpkin guts. Deploying the blade requires... That includes Spyderco and Victorinox, It comes from teh factory sharp, and has stayed sharp through the 2 months I have used it. Definitely worth the cash outlay. The only criticism I have is that the screws that hold down the belt clip are a tiny, tiny torx head while the rest are Philips. Why not just use the same all around? I called the company and they sent me a tool at no charge. 6 of 7 people found the following review helpful Nice large camping knife, By This review is from: Zero Tolerance Combat Folding Knife (Sports) I bought one a Zero Tolerance knife because, those Strider folders are way too expensive to actually use even if I could justify buying one. This knife has a frame lock that is a wad of titanium metal that is bent in one on side of the frame with a ball bearing under it so that it rides easily on the blade as it opens. Frame locks are the second strongest locks and my favorite lock type made by SOG, the Arc-lock, doesn't come in a knife this size & shape so this one will do.This is not an every day carry knife. It's blade is too long for many municipalities, and thus rates as a concealed weapon requiring permits etc. It has a spring assist to open but it's not fast, as the mass of the blade is huge for such a small spring. But the assist is nice and so far it's never failed to fully open the blade into the locked position. The handle is thick, and the pocket clip has the end of the knife handle sticking about an inch out of your pocket. I bought this knife for... Read more |
